Jellyfish sketch

I was practicing drawing vines and tangled ribbons when I got the idea to make it into something. Thus... my own species of jellyfish.

I have finished a drawing I was doing for someone. I've added a new bird  and cleaned up my initial sketch.

Grapes in sunlight

Playing with the translucency of grapes in sunlight tonight. I'd still like to so another study of grape leaves with a sunset illuminating them from behind. In color of course.

Ent drawing

Tolkien's Ents or the more basic fairy tale of tree spirits have been a favorite of mine. In the new Lord of The Rings movies Jackson's artists did a pretty good job with them, but I definitely believe they could be improved upon. Here's my little attempt for tonight...

Alphonse Mucha study

Alphonse Mucha's art is some of the most iconic of Art Nouveau and a favorite of mine. By copying one of my favorite pieces of his I have gotten a better understanding of how he constructed his prints. What kind of line quality was used, how forms were depicted, and the overall technique.
