Spirit of the Spring

The final drawing of the spring spirit in all her colored glory. I hope my Grandma will like this.

Spirit of the Spring

So this is the rough draft of the drawing I'm doing for my grandma for Easter.

Rabbit sketches

Tonight I was trying to get a sense of rabbits. Their movement, volumes and basic forms.

A little deer

So I'm playing with an idea for a drawing I'd like to do. A made up scene from Bambi only realistic and highly foreshortened. I plan on having a little deer, a skunk and a rabbit looking up at a singing bird on a limb overhead.

Dragon tree

A twisted tree lounged upon by a contented flightless dragon.

Nose sketches

Just a few sketches tonight to better understand the construction of the human nose.

Fantasia firebird sketch

In Fantasia 2000 my favorite scene is the Firebird sequence. It is a beautiful and moving artistic creation. So this is the mother nature spirit spreading her wings blooming with cherry blossoms. I may develop this idea further as a present for someone.
