Just a little doodle

So tonight I decided to do an organic vine like illustration. I think I might try this again since I had the idea to incorporate more than one figure into the swirling forms.

Baby faces

It was an extremely long and tiring day. Tonight I just studied how Lumis constructs simplified character's heads. I thought baby faces showed the bulbous forms he uses best.

Racing snail

The never ending story has been one of my favorite movies since I was a kid. It has always inspired me to create my own worlds of imagination and to never give up hope. So tonight I drew one of the first characters that we were introduced to, the little top hatted man's Racing Snail. As an interesting side note, the man who played the snail rider is the same guy who was all of the Umpa Lumpas in Tim Burton's new Charlie and the chocolate factory.

The invisible man

This was more fun than I expected. For a change NOT drawing the person in the clothes was more interesting. I think I might try this again with more interesting clothing next time.

A drowning man

So tonight I wanted to do something different yet again. I used twisting shapes and an extreme foreshortened perspective to give it an unsettling look.

Rat Sketch

A nasty little rat tonight, much like the horrible little buggers running around in my greenhouse eating the tops off my seedlings.

Goldfishes

I love the flowing nature of fish fins and the strength of their body and jaw. These guys I made a little cartoony. which helps me to create expressions.
