Finished my drawing form last night. This was much more difficult that I thought it would be. Most people just draw a reversed image for the reflection, but this is incorrect as what is reflected is based on the perspective horizon. In other words the higher up our view is, the more of the underside of the object reflected will be seen in the water. There is also quite a bit of distortion when it comes to the perspective of the reflection itself. A good learning experience for the night.

Little girl
Just a little girl playing in the water with a lizard creature in her lap. This is going to be a two-parter. Tomorrow I'll finish up my idea.

Asian temple drawing
Decided to continue with the architecture designing tonight, and incorporate a little more environment into the scene. Now I just need to take the time to complete one of these.

An old house sketch
Just a little house tonight, set at a dynamic perspective. I did the perspective freehand, so it got a little wonky.

A grizzled gangster character
Didn't know what I'd draw tonight, so I just started drawing a face. Put some crazy whiskers on him, and crumpled his face.

Mushroom face
Well it was a interesting idea, I would have to do it over again to get it right, but I always learn something about the construction of such themed drawings.

Bill the reluctant vampire
I felt like drawing a cartoon tonight. This is Bill from True Blood in a cartoony bat costume. What a pansy vampire Bill was.

A Tommy gun
It's a little off on the front handle, but overall I like the look I developed. Kind of an Giger look. That merging of organic and industrial design.

A wicked rose
I started out tonight just to draw a rose, then it started getting swirly and I went all stylistic on it.

Tree house
I need work on my environments. They say that to get better you have to work on the things you are the most hesitant to do. I think I hesitate doing environments because of the time they take, and the fact that I do 3D environments most days at my job.

A drawing of a boxer
Worked on a little boxer character. Thought it would be funny to do a play on words in cartoon form. A kinda obvious one though.

Manitor drawing
I'm looking into drawing mythological creatures and imaginary figures from fairy tales. Here's a buff manitor sneering at us.

Demon concept drawing
I'm looking into game concept art. Course everyone is into fantasy and war games... and that's fine with me :)

A hungry little otter
I like studying faces, the faces of people and animals. Like this little guy who has gorged himself on oysters.

Underworld old man drawing
I have an awesome idea for an entire world, or rather underworld of characters, environment, and storyline. Now if I can just find the time to develop it.

Jack and the Giant
I had an idea about rocks again tonight. Jack leaning up against one looking all smart and triumphant, not realizing its the Giant's big toe. I think this could work as a finished piece if i took some time on it.

John Lennon cartoon
Tonight I practiced cartooning. And I had to go and do it the hard way using a readily identifiable face. I'm not sure how much it looks like him though. I'll have to look at it again tomorrow.

The gypsy riding a carousel horse
Finished my drawing from last night. I wish I had the time to do all the details like I envisioned. Maybe someday.

A beckoning gypsy
A two parter between tonight and tomorrow. I'm developing a carnival world, with some interesting characters. I'll work on the carousel horse she's riding tomorrow.

A glowing crab
I picked a back lit subject tonight. Also one that was partially translucent. This drawing was more difficult that I thought it would be.
